In education, a very small proportion of students start with a superpower, such as being a gifted writer, musician or mathematician. Some students are gifted leaders and these students in particular have a responsibility to use and develop this skill in a positive way, to influence others around them for the greater good.
But most students don't start off with great powers, they develop them over time through effort and persistence. Each student is ultimately responsible for their own progress. So I think the quote could easily work the other way too...
"With great responsibility comes great power"
