When I started this blog I set a goal to create 2-3 posts per term. The main reason was to force me to reflect on my practice and ideas. Pouring my thoughts into words and sharing with the world is a very powerful way to clarify ideas and get feedback.
I have been too busy with day to day dealings with students, parents and staff, these activities expanded to take up all of my available time.
It worries me that I've not had the time to think and reflect on my practice. This time is important both for my personal development and to enable me to do my current job better.
So what did I do wrong? And what can I change?
I have not been able to make the time to blog because I've been too busy = I need to allocate time in my schedule to blog before it gets taken up by the minutiae.
There is always something else that needs to get done = increase the priority of time needed to think and write.
I don't have enough time to write a post = reduce the length of the posts.
I hope these small changes can help me think and write more regularly next term.
